The Palestinian Refugee Project

The Palestinian Refugee Project was invited to speak recently at a local branch meeting of the Women's Institute (WI). I was asked to speak about life on the camp of Ain il Hilweh for Palestinian refugees, highlighting the struggle we endure on a daily basis as refugees in a country that grants us no rights, desperately wanting our right to return to Palestine.  My mother-in-law is a member of the local branch of WI and has been tremendously supportive of me as a Palestinian Refugee, she goes against the grain and has seen through the pro Zionist propaganda here in the UK and has thrown herself fully into supporting the Palestinian refugees. With her support and influence she has been able to get our first event booked and it was a great success.  It was very well attended and a video that I presented of daily life for a Palestinian refugee was very well received. It was painfully clear though that most of the members present knew nothing about the Palestin...

The 65th anniversay of the ugly Kafr Qasim holocaust .

The Kafr Qasim   holocaust is one of many of war crimes committed against the original people of Palestine, the holocaust against us started in 1948 and carries on to this day, the crimes have been committed against all the Palestinians, those in the occupied holy land and those of us in the wider diaspora. We were forced to live in inhuman conditions and all people living there treated as militants and not civilians, even to this day all our cars are searched, all our bags gone through by the Lebanese military.    So how can...

Palestinian Refugees in Lebanon Continue to Suffer

Image
We the Palestinian refugees in Lebanon suffer from deprivation, and do not have the right to oppose this situation simply because we are Palestinians and we are considered second-class citizens.     Well, we are accustomed to this Lebanese approach against us, but where is UNRWA then? The ones that are supposed to provide “human development and humanitarian services encompass primary and vocational education, primary health care, relief and social services, infrastructure and camp improvement, microfinance, and emergency response, including in situations of armed conflict”. The Lebanese economy has no glimmer of hope that it will recover in the near future. There are some Lebanese merchants who monopolize some of the most important necessities of life, such as infant formula, food supplies, and fuel. Even medicines were not spared their contempt and corruption. Their untouchable hands and actions should be stopped as soon as possible. The @PRefugeeProject wa...
