Lebanon is in the Dark, but Palestinian Refugee are even more removed from the light.

Houses in the dark
Dim dark Houses

Lebanon is in the Dark, but for the Palestinian Refugee it is darker still, there is a shortage of electricity in Lebanon. It is not a joke I am afraid, it is the painful truth.
For those who do not know Lebanon or even know its existence, I would like to introduce you to the former Switzerland of the middle east. It is a country of the sun, the sun that almost never leaves the sky, yet this beautiful country suffers from a lack of electricity in general, particularly the Palestinian refugees. Do you know why this is? Because it is a country that hosts a large group of gangs that make sure it is difficult to use Solar energy, this combined with corruption within government. It is unbelievable how many people in Lebanon have lost their lives because of the electricity shortages, and how tourism is struggling despite the fact Lebanon counts on tourism for money and income.

What shall we do to improve or provide the solar energy systems for poor people and a large number of the Palestinian refugees in Lebanon? And therefore help the environment to recover from the from use of many dirty diesel generators? Can we provide a workshop for people how to make DIY solar panels for the people who cannot afford it, and how they can invest in this natural treasure?
